Phantom Limbs Installation
2024

Installation Design, Development of Interaction, Planning of Space Use.
The work deals with the complexities of immigration and its impact on one's perception of their identity. The past and its memories serve as an anchor of what was once true but is no longer real, while the need to find a self in a newly occupied form persists. Reconciliation with a past reality is a phantom ache for something that is no longer there but will be weaved through the core of one’s being. When one is caught between two opposing realities, how possible is it to move forward?

Wood, metal hooks, chiffon, lace, canvas, thread, books, plaster.
